Andrea Vinje

Andrea was born and raised in Sheboygan, WI. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran school through 8th grade, followed by Sheboygan Falls High School. She graduated from UW Madison with a degree in Cross-categorical Special Education, K-12. She has worked her entire career thus far in AASD, starting with a traveling position between Appleton North and Appleton West High Schools, teaching students of varying abilities.  

Andrea earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Marian University in 2007.  She was the Associate Principal at Einstein Middle school for five years before taking on her Principal role at McKinley Elementary in 2013. She is proud to be a McKinley Jaguar!

Amelia McDonald

Amelia was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education-EBD.

Prior to coming to AASD, she worked in Neenah at Hoover Elementary for 12 years. During her time at Hoover, she was a Special Education Teacher and then a 4th grade teacher. She earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Concordia University in 2010.  Most recently, she has been working towards her Reading Teacher license through Marian University.

Amelia is very excited to move to the Appleton Area School District. She believes that each and every child can be successful when given the tools they need! She is so excited to join the McKinley team and become a McKinley Jaguar!
